This was a great budget friendly purchase for an EDC. I was a little surprised at the size when I took it out of the box, but it felt perfect in my hand. The blade works well and flips smoothly. The only challenge for me was the pocket clip, as the flair was a bit sharper than expected and catches when in my pocket. After a slight modification it works just fine. Highly recommend this as a blade for those who want to feel the knife in their hand when using.
I am quite pleased with this knife. At just over 5 ounces it’s not heavy but feels substantial in my hand, which is a quality I appreciate. Fit and finish is surprisingly good considering this a very budget-friendly knife. The G10 scales are nicely designed and feel great in the hand.
The thumb tab has great gimping for a smooth deployment and taps the thumbnail nicely when disengaging the liner lock, guarding against accidental nicks.
The blade includes a swedge that enhances the look of the drop-point polished blade and the ball bearing pivot is smooth as silk.
I liked this nice so much I have ordered three other models. Based on the Monark, I am looking forward to seeing what the next few knives are like.
